GT Teacher/ 6th Grade Reading
I graduated from Anna High School in 1985, and Texas Tech University in 1989.
I have a B.S. in Education with an English Specialization. I am also certified to teach 4th-8th Science. I have been trained in Gifted and Talented Education.
I have attended the CAST (Science conference) and the TAGT (Gifted and Talented conference) for the last 2 years.
I taught school in my hometown for two years before moving to Groesbeck, TX where I married Mark Baize. Mark is now deceased, so I stay busy with our 3 boys and their many activities. Chad is a Senior at Texas A&M University, Dillon works for an Electric company at College Station, and Peyton is a Junior at GHS. We live outside of the city limits of Groesbeck.
Someone once said, "The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man." I think that is so true. I have always had a passion for horses and have owned, ridden, and competed my whole life. I don't compete as much now because of time constraints, but would love to again someday.
I collect western Christmas ornaments. I started this when I was first married and had no ornaments for the tree. Now I have enough to decorate 5 trees, but I must have a new one each year. (or 2, 3, 4!)
I also enjoy gardening, dancing, sports, and reading. I have many hobbies, so most go on the back burner until I have more time.
